Grilled Almond Butter and Banana Sandwich- 278 calories

The King would be proud of this meal, I have had the legendary Fried Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich that Elvis ate regularly and it was delicious but greasy and certainly not something to eat regularly unless you want to… well you know what happened to Elvis.

I don’t know what came over me, but I had to try this for breakfast and let me tell you, it was good, really good and I will probably work it into my lunch sometime too.

Makes 2 Sandwiches-

  • 4 Slices Whole Wheat Bread
  • 2 tbsp Almond Butter
  • 1 Banana

Heat ridged cast iron pan on medium high, spray with cooking spray or Misto.

In a shallow bowl mash the banana with the back of a fork until it looks like mush. Spread out the slices of bread and cover each a little on one side with the Almond Butter, then add 1/2 of the banana mush to the each sandwich and place in the hot pan for 1-3 minutes until hot and gooey. Remove from pan, slice in half and dig into that Hunka Hunka Burning Love 😉
