We love dark chocolate and semi sweet/bittersweet. But you can use what you have or choose your favorite! Here’s a guide to help you in your important chocolate choices…
Different Chocolate Chips for Chocolate Chip Muffin Mix:
- Milk Chocolate- Is VERY sweet and will have the highest calorie/sugar/fat content.
- Dark Chocolate- Is the next step up, and they are snack-able… though that might be a bad thing.
- Semi-Sweet- Will have less sugar and dairy than milk or dark chocolate. It’s a good option if you’re looking to cut calories
- Bittersweet- Is similar to semi-sweet, but with less sugar. It’s not snack-able (which might be a good thing).
We love Semi-Sweet chocolate chips… just sweet enough, and snack-able without adding too much sugar or dairy.
Special Note– You can find Vegan chocolate chips at most stores!
