he other day, I was craving a big bowl of ice cream, but I was not interested in all the calories that come with it the real Cherry Garcia Ice Cream from Ben and Jerry’s.
Luckily, I always have a giant tub of Greek Yogurt, and with inspiration from my favorite dessert I summoned my inner Jerry Garcia and made this Cherry Garcia Greek Yogurt. It’s delicious, sweet and filling, I ate it up for dinner. This would make a great breakfast or late night snack.
Makes 4 Cherry Garcia Greek Yogurt servings.
- 2 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 ½ tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp Dark Chocolate Chips
- 2 tbsp Dried Cherries (if you have fresh they are great too, quarter them)
Combine everything, hold a few cherries and chocolate chips back to top with. Mix well and serve in cute bowls or martini glasses, top with remaining cherries and chocolate.
It helps if while making this you play some Grateful Dead, Pandora can help you out with that if you don’t already have a favorite album. 😉
