How to Make Low Calorie Protein French Toast
This low calorie French toast is easy and healthy. All you really need is a skillet and a couple minutes to whip up a batch!
If you want to cut more time from the recipe, leave the bread on a plate, uncovered on your countertop overnight so that it hardens and gets stale. Then you can skip toasting the bread in step #2.
How to Make Healthy Protein French Toast:
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the bread to the hot dry pan, and toast until a little dried out and crispy.
- Meanwhile, add the eggs, almond milk, and protein powder in a shallow bowl or pie pan. Whisk well.
- Add the toasted bread to the egg mixture, flip and soak up all of the eggs.
- Move the soaked bread to the hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes each side.
