This low calorie French toast is easy and healthy. All you really need is a skillet and a couple minutes to whip up a batch!

If you want to cut more time from the recipe, leave the bread on a plate, uncovered on your countertop overnight so that it hardens and gets stale. Then you can skip toasting the bread in step #2.

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the bread to the hot dry pan, and toast until a little dried out and crispy.
  3. Meanwhile, add the eggs, almond milk, and protein powder in a shallow bowl or pie pan. Whisk well.
  4. Add the toasted bread to the egg mixture, flip and soak up all of the eggs.
  5. Move the soaked bread to the hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes each side.
  6. Serve with your favorite healthy toppings.
