I like to make my own biscuits and my own sausage for this healthy recipe. It means I can cut calories super low, and even control the sodium.
I recommend making your own, but if you prefer to get the uncooked breakfast sausage, or vegan breakfast sausage that will work too.

How to Make Low Calorie Biscuits and Gravy
To make this recipe extra easy and fast, I like to make the biscuits ahead of time. But if you don’t choose to do that, the biscuits can bake while to make the gravy.
And you can store leftovers in individual containers and microwave later to reheat. Though they don’t hold up well in the freezer. These leftovers will hold for 3-4 days in the fridge.

How to Make Low Calorie Biscuits and Gravy:
- Spray a skillet with olive oil and heat over medium heat.
- Add in the low calorie sausage and cook through, then remove to a plate to cool.
- Add the flour to the skillet and 1/2 cup of milk. Whisk together until you have no lumps, then add the remaining almond milk and cook, mixing often until thick, about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile chop or crumble the cooked sausage.
- Once the gravy is thick, add in the crumbled sausage, salt and pepper and mix well.
- Taste and add in more salt or pepper as needed.
- Serve over hot Low Calorie Biscuits.
