- Bananas – the base of the recipe is just bananas, and this is a great way to use up over ripe bananas!
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder – this is what brings out all the chocolate flavor, and as a bonus it’s low calorie!

How to Make Healthy Ice Cream
This low calorie chocolate nice cream is easy to make, the hardest part is exercising patience while it freezes! You can use a high speed blender, or a food processor to make the ice cream.

How to Make Nice Cream:
- Slice the bananas and place in a freezer bag or container. Freeze completely, for a minimum of 6 hours (I like to do it overnight).
- Move the frozen banana slices to a blender or food processor, along with the cocoa powder.
- Blend or process until you have a soft serve like consistency.
- Fold in any ice cream add ins.
- Move to a freezer container, smooth over the top and cover with plastic wrap, pushing down to ensure there is no air between the plastic wrap and the ice cream.
- Freeze for 2 hours, then scoop and serve with your favorite toppings.
