Tips on How to Make Mango Smoothies

Here are some more tips to help you while making the following mangos smoothies recipes.

1. For these mango recipes, cut up a whole mango into 1 inch cubes, then freeze into 2 cup servings. This way you’ll have the exact amount you need without chopping up a new mango every time.

2. Many grocery stores will also have frozen mangos, this means you can enjoy these mango smoothie recipes all year long! Try to get organic both in frozen and fresh produce if possible.

3. If you’re using fresh mangoes, make sure they are ripe for maximum sweetness and creaminess.

4. I also recommend you serve these mango smoothies quickly since they generally taste best when cold.

5. Finally, always wash out your smoothie right away after making smoothies with mangoes. And by right away, I mean before you drink your mango smoothie! This will help to keep the fruit from sticking, and will make clean up a breeze.

4. Orange Mango Smoothie

As a kid I loved drinking the sugar packed Orange Julius drinks, but always had to deal with the crash after the huge sugar rush. Orange mango smoothies are just as delicious, but don’t bring the sugar crash.

These smoothies with mangoes help curb my cravings, but in a healthy new way!

One cup of orange juice contains twice the amount of the daily recommended immune system boosting vitamin C and drinking orange juice daily has shown to thin the blood and lower blood pressure leading to a lower risk for heart disease. Rich levels of citrates and citric acid can help reduce the build up of kidney stones. (10,11,12)

8. Mango Smoothie with Almond Milk

This is another simple mango smoothie recipe that highlights the delicious taste of mangos.

I’ve always loved almond milk. It has a pleasant, nutty flavor and creamy texture that’s similar to regular milk and is naturally rich in several vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin E.

It’s made by blending almonds with water and then straining the mixture to remove the solids. I like to use it in most of my smoothie recipes.

The mango and banana in this Mango Smoothie Spinach recipe do a great job of masking the flavor of the spinach, and provides a delicious tropical flavor.

Spinach is a very nutrient rich vegetable. It contains high amounts of iron, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, and calcium (20).

This recipe for mangos smoothies may be green… but that’s due to the delicious kiwi’s.

Also known as a kiwi fruit, a kiwi is a popular fruit from New Zealand. Kiwis are a good source of lots of vitamins and minerals. They are especially high in vitamin C, and have even more vitamin C than oranges and lemons (21).

It’s easy to make any of these mangos smoothie recipes vegan… here are some tips:

  1. Use nut milk (Almond, Cashew) instead of Dairy milk.
  2. Use maple syrup in place of honey
  3. Use your favorite vegan yogurt in place of dairy yogurt

It’s easy to make any of these recipes work for your dietary needs. Simply swap out the ingredient (say honey) with one you can have (raw stevia or maple syrup).
