Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 2 cups shredded chicken – I supplied you with a recipe below, but rotisserie works too.
- ½ cup 0% Greek yogurt – Or unsweetened cashew yogurt.
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard – Or yellow mustard.
- 2 stalks celery – Or 1/2 tart apple.
- 2 green onions – Or 1 tablespoon minced shallot or red onion.
- ½ teaspoon dill – Fresh is best, but dried will work as well.
- ½ teaspoon celery salt – Or regular salt, or lemon zest.
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper – Freshly ground is ideal.

Low Sodium Chicken Salad
You can easily lower the sodium this chicken salad by removing the celery salt and replacing it with 1 teaspoon lemon zest or lemon juice. Also be sure that you cook the chicken without salt.
High Protein Chicken Salad
This chicken salad is already high in protein, you can keep the meal high protein by serving it with vegetable sticks, or on my Low Calorie High Protein Bread.
Low Carb Chicken Salad

You can easily make this chicken salad dairy free by swapping out the greek yogurt for unsweetened cashew yogurt.

Healthy Chicken Salad Meal Prep and Storage
Meal Prep
- Prep – Cook the chicken and cool, then shred and add to a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Cover – Cover with plastic wrap and chill.
- Refrigerate – Will hold for 4 days in the fridge.
- Serve – Scoop 1/3 cup over bread, or add to the top of a salad. I like to add 1/3 cup to a travel container and place vegetable sticks and cucumber slices to scoop the chicken salad with.
Leftover Storage
- Individual Servings – Add 1/3 cup to containers for single serve.
- Family Servings – Add the entire batch of chicken salad to a storage container for family servings. Cover and store for later.

Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded chicken pre cooked and cooled
- ½ cup 0% Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 2 stalks celery diced

- ½ teaspoon celery salt

Instructions
- Add all of the chicken salad recipe ingredients to a large bowl.
- Use the back of a spoon, fork, or a spatula to mix and squish all of the ingredients together.
- Serve as a chicken salad sandwich, chicken wrap, chicken salad over greens or in the 10 low carb chicken salad recipes below.
