3 Homemade Seasoning Blends for Low Calorie Chips:

I like to make these spice blends myself. This ensures I know what is going into my food, and also because all of the spice blend ingredients are pantry staples. So I already have them and can save money. Check out the recipes, I bet you have all or most of the spice blend ingredient too!

You can get store bought if you like, but they wonโ€™t be as low in calories. And the store-bought stuff often has preservatives which can cause fat storage and weight gain.

How to Make Healthy Tortilla Chips

I am a HUGE fan of parchment paper! It ensures that clean up is extra easy, and stops food from sticking. It also means I donโ€™t need to grease the baking sheets first, saving more calories.

And I recommend using rimmed baking sheets, so your chips wonโ€™t slide off and onto the floor. Itโ€™s happened to me, so be careful if you donโ€™t have rimmed baking sheets.

How to Make Healthy Tortilla Chips:

  1. Preheat oven to 400ยบ degrees and line 2 rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the tortillas into 6 triangles each. (I do this by stacking them so I can cut all 6 at once).
  3. Add the tortilla chips to the prepared baking sheet, making sure they do not overlap.
  4. Spray lightly with olive oil spray and sprinkle with salt or desired seasoning.
  5. Bake for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool, they will continue to crisp up as they cool.
  7. To storeโ€“ Place in a gallon freezer bag or air tight container and place in the pantry, will hold for 5-7 days.
