- ¼ red onion
- 1-4 tablespoons Sandwich Sauce (see recipe card for options)

Meal Prep: You can meal prep this the night before work. Simply assemble, wrap in parchment paper and add to a plastic bag or container.
Storage: Will hold for 2 days in the fridge (may get soggy, so 1 day is ideal), does not do well in the freezer.

Low Calorie Steak Sandwich
Ingredients
Healthy Steak Sandwiches:
- 2 burger buns or gluten-free buns
- 8 oz cooked sirloin steak or leftover cooked steak
- 1 cup baby spinach
- ¼ red onion sliced into rings
- 1-4 tablespoons Sandwich Sauce see below
Low Calorie Top Sirloin:
- 12 oz sirloin steak
- Olive Oil Spray
- ½ tablespoon Homemade Seasoning Salt or store-bought

Instructions
Steak Sandwiches:
- If using leftover steak, slice thin and reheat if desired. Otherwise make the sirloin steak recipe we have supplied below.
- Open the buns and add the bottom halves to plates or a cutting board.
- Smear with sauce (see options above) and top with onions.
- Top with steak, spinach, and the top of the bun.
- Special Tip: If taking these steak sandwiches for lunch, toast the buns in the oven or toaster oven first. This will reduce sogginess.
Top Sirloin Steak:
- Preheat a grill, or a grill pan on the stove top over medium high heat.
- Spray the steak all over with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with Seasoning Salt.
- Add the the grill or grill pan and cook for 1-4 minutes (1 for rare, 2 for medium, and 4 for well done).
- Flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes (2 for rare and medium, 3 for well done).
- Move to a plate and let rest for 10 minutes, then slice thin, against the grain.
