In this section, you’ll learn how to make a smoothie, as well as tips on making fruit smoothie recipes low in calories.

Easy Frozen Fruit Smoothie Recipe

It’s very easy to make homemade fruit smoothies, we have some tips below to make them even easier…

How to Make Fruit Smoothies:

  1. Add the frozen fruit, yogurt, water and optional sweetener to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding more water 1/8 of a cup at a time to reach desired thickness.
  3. Pour into a glass and immediately rinse your blender out (to stop the ingredients from sticking to the inside).

Don’t skip cleaning your blender right away… A quick rinse as soon as you’ve poured your smoothie into glasses will save you lots of time later. Fruit and yogurt are notorious for sticking to the sides of your blender and making it difficult to clean.

Special Tip: You can find this how to guide, as well as measurements, and nutrition in the recipe card below.

Tips to Making a Low Calorie Frozen Fruit Smoothie:

  1. Use sliced, frozen banana in place of sweetener. It will give the smoothie a boost of sweetness and add creaminess.
  2. Berries alone are not that sweet, add in pineapple to sweeten and give a tropical flare.
  3. If you want to add greens, try baby spinach. It has practically no flavor.

Special Tip: You can find these directions, along with measurements, nutrition and more in the sharable recipe card in the next section!

What is there no to love? It is cold, creamy, sweet & tangy. Instead of honey, l use a pinch of monk fruit sweetener. This same smoothie could be made with fresh fruit, but I prefer the texture provided by using frozen fruit.
