Low Calorie Celery Smoothie for Weight Loss

Celery Smoothie Recipe

This Low Calorie Celery Smoothie for Weight Loss tastes amazing, and unlike all of the boring celery smoothies out there, it tastes like a tropical drink! At just 154 calories, this low calorie smoothie makes a great snack. Feel free to add a scoop of vanilla protein powder, or unsweetened collagen powder to boost the protein. This will make it a more filling meal replacement shake.

Weight Loss Celery Smoothie Meal Prep and Storage

Meal Prep

  • Individual Smoothie Bags – Add the celery smoothie ingredients (less any liquid) to a sandwich bag and seal. Store in the freezer (will hold for 1 month in freezer).
  • Family Sized Smoothie Bags  – Add several servings worth of ingredients (less any liquid) to a gallon freezer bag. Place a 1/2 cup plastic measuring cup in the bag. Close and seal the bag, and store in the freezer (will hold for 1 month in freezer).
  • Prepared Smoothies – these smoothies are best made fresh, but you can make them ahead of time and store in a clean jar (with a lid) in the fridge.

Leftover Storage

  • Fridge Storage – Add any leftover smoothie to a jar (I actually serve them in jars so all I have to do is add a lid). Close and store in the fridge for 2-3 days.
  • Freezer Storage – Pour any leftover smoothie into ice cube molds, and freeze solid (about 4 hours). Then pop out of the mold and move to a freezer bag to avoid freezer burn. Will hold for 1 month in the freezer.

This tropical flavored celery smoothie is yummy and fresh, and filled with good for you ingredients!
I like to use frozen fruit for 2 reasons. First, it thickens up the smoothie. And second, it makes it cold without having to add ice, which I always find makes for a watered down smoothie.
Special Tip: You can add a scoop of vanilla protein powder or unflavored collagen powder to boost the protein and make this a meal replacement smoothie.
