Ingredients in an Almond Milk Latte
Almond milk latte ingredients are quite basic, in fact if you have almond milk and coffee in the house now, you can get started making your own hot and iced latte recipes right away!
In this section we will review the “Must Haves” and then the “Add In’s” as to not overwhelm you with ingredients.
“Must Have” Ingredients:
- Strong brewed coffee, Espresso, or Chai Tea
- Almond milk
“Add In” Ingredients:
- Vanilla extract
- Almond extract
- Sugar or Sugar in the Raw
- Maple Syrup or Honey
- All natural Flavored Coffee Syrups
If you’re looking to make flavored latte recipes, I recommend using all natural syrups… There’s no point in going healthy by swapping out milk or cream for almond milk, but then adding chemicals back to the flavored latte recipes!
Try one of these All Natural Coffee Syrups instead of the “sugar free” chemical filled ones!

How to Make Almond Milk Latte
Making a latte with almond milk is actually quite simple!
In this section I have given you directions for both hot and ice coffee recipes
How to make a Hot Latte:
There are two different ways to make a hot latte with almond milk…
- If you have an espresso machine or a K-Cafe coffee maker– Make 2 shots of espresso and heat/foam one cup of almond milk. Add the espresso to a mug, top with heated almond milk.
- If you have a Coffee Maker or French Press– Brew 1 cup of STRONG coffee. Heat the milk in a small sauce pan on medium low heat. Once warmed whisk briskly and constantly to create foam. Add the coffee to a mug, top with heated almond milk.
How to make an Iced Latte:
Making an iced latte recipe is extremely easy! Here are two different ways to make an iced latte…
- If you have an espresso machine or a K-Cafe coffee maker– Make 2 shots of espresso, and fill a glass with ice. Add the espresso to the iced glass, and add in 1 cup of cold almond milk.
- If you have a Coffee Maker or French Press– Brew 1 cup of STRONG coffee, and fill a glass with ice. Add the coffee to the iced glass, and add 1 cup of cold almond milk.
A few tips on using almond milk in coffee recipes:
Not all “milk” is created equal… and considering almond milk is a non-dairy food, we can’t expect it to act exactly like a dairy food.
- Hot to Hot- if making a hot drink, you need to heat the almond milk… otherwise it will separate and give it the look of curdled milk.
- Substitute for Almond Milk- coconut milk (in the refrigerated section) is a great alternative to almond milk, it has about the same calories, however the flavor is stronger.
- You can freeze almond milk- if you want to get creative with your homemade iced latte recipes, make almond milk ice cubes!
