Ingredients for Low Calorie Lattes
You only need 2-3 ingredients to make these low calorie lattes. And if you are looking for the add-in flavors, see below the photo or in the updated printable recipe card.
I like to use strong brewed coffee in this recipe, but espresso and even cold brew coffee will work! Just make sure you either warm, or use cold brew for the iced version.
Homemade Latte Ingredients:
- Almond Milk – I prefer unsweetened and original flavor, this way I only have to buy one carton for sweet and savory recipes. Sweetened and vanilla flavored will also work.
- Strong Brewed Coffee – You can use brewed coffee, cold brew, or espresso.
- Sweetener – This is optional, and I have supplied you with a healthy option in the recipe card below should you want a sweet latte.
- Flavors – there are 5 different flavor add-ins below!

Optional Latte Flavorings:
- Vanilla Extract (for a Vanilla Almond Milk Latte)
- Almond Extract (for an Almond Latte)
- Pumpkin Pie Spice (for Pumpkin Spice Latte)
- Low Calorie Chocolate Syrup (for a Mocka Latte)
- All-Natural Caramel Syrup (for Caramel Latte)
How to Make Low Calorie Lattes at Home
These healthy lattes are so easy to make, calling this a recipe is a stretch! But I do have some tips to make the drink even easier, just incase you don’t care about foam, or want a quick iced coffee.
Tools and Equipment:
- Small Pot
- Whisk
- Measuring Cups and Spoons

How to Make Low Calorie Lattes:
Hot Latte Directions:
- Brew coffee and add to a mug, stir in sugar and any flavorings.
- Heat the milk in a small sauce pan on medium low heat.
- Once warmed whisk briskly and constantly to create foam.
- Remove from heat, and use a spoon to hold the foam back while you pour the hot milk over the coffee.
- Spoon the foam over the top, and serve hot.
Skip The Foam: You can easily warm the almond milk in the microwave or on the stovetop and skip the whisking if foam it’s needed. This will save you time and effort.
Iced Latte Directions:
- While the coffee is still hot, mix in the sugar and any flavorings. Set aside in the fridge to chill for 2-3 hours (or get a bigger cup and use more ice).
- Add 1 cup of ice to a tall glass, and pour over the coffee.
- Pour the almond milk over the coffee and serve cold.
Extra Easy Iced Recipe: If you want to make the easiest iced lattes, use cold brew coffee and just combine the coffee and almond milk to a glass for a 1 minute latte.

Raw stevia is a great option. But beware of thinking of it as zero calorie and therefore you can have as much as you like. When we eat sweets (stevia included) the body automatically starts craving more sweets and more carbs.
Stevia may be zero calories, but it should still be consumed in moderation for this reason.
You are right about the sugar. What about stevia which comes from an herb?
Amazing content.
