  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce (or gluten free Tamari)
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ½ tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 16 oz salmon
  • Olive oil spray

Ingredients
 
 

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce or gluten free Tamari
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ½ tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger grated or minced
  • 2 cloves of garlic grated or minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 16 oz salmon cut into cubes
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions
 

  • To a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and cornstarch. Mix together.
  • Add the salmon to the homemade teriyaki sauce, and marinate for 10 minutes to an hour.
  • Heat a grill over medium high heat.
  • Thread the salmon onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water first to avoid burning). Then spray with olive oil.
  • Add the skewers to the preheated grill, and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning often, until the salmon is cooked through.
