I love plant based protein powder, and the one I get also has lots of superfoods so I know I am getting the best nutrition. I have included a link in the recipe card below for my favorite (which I often find at Costco!)
But you can use your favorite protein powder. You will want one serving of your protein powder to make 2 chocolate protein bowls (though you can add more if you like).
For some protein powders that will be 2 scoops, and for others just one scoop. Just look on the nutrition label for “serving size” and use that when making this recipe.

How to Make Low Calorie Chocolate Smoothie Bowls
Each blender is a little different, and depending on yours you may need to add more liquid or scrape the ingredients down as you blend. This is normal, especially if you don’t have a high speed blender.
If you choose to add more liquid, add it just 1 tablespoon at a time (you can use water if you don’t want to increase calories) so it’s not too “soupy”.

How to Make Chocolate Protein Bowls:
- Add all the ingredients into a blender and pulse until it starts to come together.
- Blend on low until it’s just smooth, then pour into two bowls and add desired toppings.
- Wash out the blender right away to avoid smoothie sticking to the blender.
