This Low Calorie Grilled Asparagus Recipe is just 27 calories for 1/2 a bunch of asparagus! It’s easy and healthy and a great side dish!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 bunch of large asparagus (about 12 stalks)
- Olive oil spray
- ½ teaspoon salt (or seasoning blend below)
- ¼ teaspoon pepper

Healthy Grilled Asparagus Meal Prep and Storage
Meal Prep: You can trim the asparagus and add the seasoning ahead of time. Then add to a freezer bag or container and place in the fridge. You can also make this asparagus to add to meal prep lunches and dinners.
Storage: Store in the fridge for 6 days. Will get soggy in the freezer.

BBQ Asparagus Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of large asparagus about 12 stalks
- Olive oil spray
- ½ teaspoon salt or seasoning blend below
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Seasoning Blends for Grilling Asparagus:
Instructions
- Preheat a grill to medium heat.
- Cut off the bottom third of the asparagus stocks, and discard. Placing the asparagus in a casserole dish as you go.
- Spray with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper, or your desired seasoning blend. Toss to coat.
- If using a grill pan, or grill press, add the asparagus, and then add to the grill. Otherwise, add the asparagus directly to the grill.
- Grilled asparagus until slightly crispy, about 20 minutes. Then move to a plate before serving.
