  • ⅓ teaspoon nutmeg

Slow Cooker Instructions:

  • Peel, core and slice apples into 1/2 inch thick slices.
  • As you work, add the apples to a slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and zero calorie all natural brown sugar. Stir to coat the apples evenly.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours, or LOW for 6 hours, stir halfway through cooking.
  • Once desired softness has been reached. Turn off the slow cooker and spoon the apples into a glass bowl to cool, or serve hot.

Stovetop Instructions:

  • Peel, core and slice apples into 1/2 inch thick slices.
  • As you work, add the apples to a large pot.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and zero calorie all natural brown sugar. Stir to coat the apples evenly.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 1-2 hours, mixing 1-2 times to distribute spices.
  • Once desired softness has been reached. Remove from heat and spoon the apples into a glass bowl to cool, or serve hot.
