Making this dessert hummus in a food processor is easier… but if you don’t have one (or don’t want to haul it out) a blender will work as well.
Special Note: Depending on the speed and strength of your food processor/blender you may need to add more water to thin out the chocolate dessert hummus. Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time to avoid soggy chocolate dipping sauce.


How to Make Hummus Chocolate Dip Sauce:
- To a blender or food processor, add the chickpeas, tahini, maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla, salt, and 2 tablespoons water.
- Pulse for 30 seconds, then scrape down and puree.
- Add additional 1-2 tablespoons water, and puree again until you have a creamy consistency. Adding more water 1 tablespoon at a time as needed.
- Taste and add more maple syrup if necessary.
- Store, covered and refrigerated for 5-7 days.

- 1 (15-oz can) garbanzo beans (chickpeas) drained and rinsed
- ¼ cup tahini (or try with peanut butter, almond butter, or cashew butter)
- ¼ cup Keto Maple Syrup (or regular maple syrup)
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- To a blender or food processor, add the chickpeas, tahini, maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla, salt, and 2 tablespoons water.
