This Low Calorie Hot Chocolate is just 53 calories and made with metabolism boosting almond milk! Best of all, I added real chocolate chips to the skinny hot chocolate, so it’s the real thing, and so much better than hot chocolate packets!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon All-Natural Zero Calorie Sugar (see recipe card below)
Ingredient Swaps:
- Almond Milk– Coconut, cashew, oat, and cows milk also work great in this recipe!
- Cinnamon– swap it out for 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips– try sugar free or regular chocolate chips
- All-Natural Zero Calorie Sugar – monk fruit sugar, coconut sugar, regular sugar and even maple syrup are great swaps

- small sauce pan

Ingredients
- ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips chopped
- 1 tablespoon All-Natural Zero Calorie Sugar
Instructions
- Add the milk and cinnamon sticks to a small sauce pot.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to the lowest setting and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove the cinnamon sticks and add in the cocoa, chocolate chips, and sugar. Whisk well until the chocolate melts and the milk gets a bit frothy.
- Pour into a mug and serve hot.
