How to Make Low Calorie Pizza Bagels
I have a toaster oven, and I love to make these in it! Though the directions below are for the oven, you could easily bake these or toast them in a toaster oven.
You can choose to bake them in a toaster oven according to the oven directions and heat below. Or just “toast” them, either way they come out amazing!

How to Make Healthy Pizza Bagels:
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the bagels in half lengthwise, and place them cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place the bagels in the oven for 5 minutes, or until they are lightly toasted on top.
- Meanwhile add the tomato sauce, paste, basil, garlic, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix well to combine.
- Spread each bagel evenly with tomato sauce. Top with shredded cheese, and any optional toppings.
- Return the pizza bagels to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.

Low Sodium Tips: To lower the sodium, omit the salt from the bagel recipe and the sauce above. The tomato sauce is acidic enough you will not need a replacement for the salt.
