These homemade milkshakes recipes can be made vanilla, strawberry or chocolate, and they are low in calories! Starting at only 138 calories for a huge homemade milkshake (3 cups!) you can enjoy this milkshake recipe without ruining your diet!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 3 cups of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoons Zero calorie simple syrup (see recipe card below)
- One of 3 flavors (see recipe card)

Meal Prep: You can make the almond milk ice cubes ahead of time, in fact you need to.
Storage: Leftovers may thin out, alternatively add any leftovers to an ice cube tray and freezer for another milkshake later.

Equipment
Ingredients
- 3 cups of unsweetened almond milk divided
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoons Zero calorie simple syrup
Flavors to Add In:
- 2 tablespoons Low Calorie Strawberry Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Low Calorie Chocolate Sauce
Instructions
Vanilla Milkshakes:
- Freeze 1/2 the almond milk (1.5 cups) in ice cube trays.
- Once frozen, add the cubes, remaining almond milk, vanilla extract, and simple syrup to a blender.
- Blend until just smooth and serve immediately.
Strawberry or Chocolate Milkshakes:
- Add 1 tablespoon of strawberry or chocolate sauce (see below) to the bottom of a glass, pour in the vanilla milkshake.
- Top with another 1 tablespoon of strawberry or chocolate sauce over the top and mix gently with a spoon or straw.
- Alternatively, you can add these sauces to the blender at the beginning.
- Serve immediately.
