Low Calorie Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 teaspoon Homemade Seasoning Salt (or storebought)
- Olive Oil Spray
- 2 Low Calorie Burger Buns (or store-bought)
- 4 romaine lettuce leaves
- 2 tomato slices
- 4-8 red onion slices
- 2 tablespoons Low Calorie Secret Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat grill (or grill pan/sauté pan on stovetop) to medium heat.
- Add the chicken breast to a plastic cutting board, and cut into 2 filets. To do this, place your hand on the top of the chicken breast, and carefully cut through the center of the chicken all the way around so you have 2 filets both in the shape of a chicken breast (just thinner).
- Sprinkle seasoning all over the chicken breast filets, and then spray with olive oil.
- Add the chicken filets to the hot grill and cook for 6 minutes.
- Flip and cook an additional 3-6 minutes until cooked through with no pink in the center.
- Meanwhile, cut the burger buns in half and toast (if desired). You can add them to the grill (or a dry pan on the stovetop) cut side down to toast until golden brown. Or toast in a toaster oven.
- To assemble, add the bottom halves of the burger buns to a serving platter or plates. Top with lettuce, cooked chicken breast, tomato and onion.
- Smear the Low Calorie Secret Sauce one the cut side of the top half of the buns, and then add the bun tops to the sandwich.
- Serve hot.
