These Low Calorie Grilled Chicken Sandwich are just 273 calories and are packed with 32.2g of protein. I used come of my low calorie recipes to make this extra healthy. From a low calorie sauce, bun and even homemade seasoning salt. But you can get store-bought if you prefer. Special Tip: To lower the calories & carbs of a store-bought burger bun, cut in half and hollow out the center of the buns. This will cut out about 1/3 calories and carbs!
Preheat grill (or grill pan/sauté pan on stovetop) to medium heat.
Add the chicken breast to a plastic cutting board, and cut into 2 filets. To do this, place your hand on the top of the chicken breast, and carefully cut through the center of the chicken all the way around so you have 2 filets both in the shape of a chicken breast (just thinner).
Sprinkle seasoning all over the chicken breast filets, and then spray with olive oil.
Add the chicken filets to the hot grill and cook for 6 minutes.
Flip and cook an additional 3-6 minutes until cooked through with no pink in the center.
Meanwhile, cut the burger buns in half and toast (if desired). You can add them to the grill (or a dry pan on the stovetop) cut side down to toast until golden brown. Or toast in a toaster oven.
To assemble, add the bottom halves of the burger buns to a serving platter or plates. Top with lettuce, cooked chicken breast, tomato and onion.
Smear the Low Calorie Secret Sauce one the cut side of the top half of the buns, and then add the bun tops to the sandwich.
