5 Low Calorie Watermelon Cocktails
These watermelon drinks are all low calorie and yummy! So you can enjoy your watermelon cocktails without guilt.We've supplied you with a homemade watermelon juice recipe for a few of the recipes, but you can purchase it as well (Trader Joes makes a great one!)Special Tip: Because we are a low calorie website, we used zero calorie simple syrup in these recipes, it's all natural… But if you prefer to use traditional simple syrup that's ok too. Ingredients
Watermelon Shots
- 1 oz Watermelon Juice
- 1 oz Vodka, Tequila, or Rum
- 1 teaspoon zero calorie all-natural simple syrup
Watermelon Sangria
- 4 oz white wine
- 2 oz Watermelon Juice
- 1 oz vodka
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- ¼ cup watermelon cubes
- ¼ cup mango cubes
Watermelon Vodka Drinks
- 1 cup watermelon pieces seedless cut into 1 inch cubes
- ½ tablespoon lime juice
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 1 oz vodka
- 5 ice cubes
Watermelon Margaritas
- 1 cup watermelon cubes
- 1 oz silver tequila
- ½ oz Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
- Lime wedges optional garnish
Watermelon Martinis
- 4 oz Watermelon Juice
- 1 ounce vodka
- ½ ounce triple sec
- ½ ounce all natural zero calorie simple syrup
- Watermelon wedge optional garnish
Instructions
How to Make Watermelon Shots
- Add the watermelon juice, alcohol of choice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold.
- Strain the watermelon shot into a shot glass.
How to Make Watermelon Sangria
- Add the vodka, watermelon juice, vodka, and lime juice to a pitcher (if making a lot) or a cocktail shaker (if making just 1).
- Mix together and place in the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
- Add the watermelon and mango to a glass, pour the chilled sangria over the fruit.
- Serve cold.
How to Make Watermelon Vodka Drinks
- Add all the watermelon smoothie ingredients to blender.
- Blend the watermelon smoothie until smooth
- Serve, and wash out your blender right away to avoid sticking.
How to Make Watermelon Margaritas
- Place the watermelon chunks in a large freezer-safe plastic container and freeze them completely, 3 to 5 hours.
- Add the frozen watermelon, tequila, and orange liqueur to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Serve with lime wedges.
How to Make Watermelon Martinis
- Add the watermelon juice, vodka, triple sec, and zero calorie all natural simple syrup to the cocktail shaker.
- Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold.
- Strain the watermelon martini into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a small watermelon wedge, and serve.
