These Low Calorie Chocolate Chip Cookies with Nuts are made with all-natural healthy ingredients!. You can choose your favorite nuts in the recipe, I used pecans, but you can make these low calorie cookies with walnuts, peanuts, whatever nut you prefer.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ⅔ cup coconut sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 2 eggs (or vegan eggs)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 cups flour (all-purpose or gluten-free)
- ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, peanuts- you choose)

Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies with Nuts Meal Prep and Storage
Meal Prep: You can make the cookies ahead of time and bake completely then cover and store for later. You can also store the unbaked dough, just cover well, and store for later.
Storage: Will hold for 6 days in the fridge baked, or 2 days unbaked. Or one month in the freezer (baked or unbaked).
Reheating: You can reheat (or if stored unbaked follow directions below to bake) in an oven at 200-250 degrees until warmed through.

Ingredients
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ⅔ cup coconut sugar

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk the coconut oil, and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the apple sauce, then the eggs one at a time. Finally mix in the vanilla.
- To a separate bowl combine the baking soda, salt and flour. Add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Add in the chocolate chips and nuts, mix together until just combined.
- Drop by large spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges are nicely browned.

In the recipe it says “2 tablespoons eggs”
I’m not sure what you mean by that? Is it 2 eggs or do you mean to crack an egg and get two tablespoons from that mix?
