Healthy Strawberry Sorbet Meal Prep and Storage

Meal Prep: You can make this healthy recipe ahead of time and chill in the fridge for later. Combine all the ingredients in a storage container, mix well and cover. Then place in the fridge for later.

This Low Calorie Strawberry Sorbet is just 55 calories per cup, and so easy to make.
No ice cream maker is needed to make healthy homemade sorbet. And you can use this method to make sorbet with any fruit, or a combination.
Special Tip: Try adding in some lemon or lime zest for a punch of flavor that won't increase the calories.

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, adding more water as needed to thin.
  • Strain the strawberry sorbet through a fine mesh strainer to remove the seeds.
  • Discard the seeds and pour the sorbet mixture into a 9×9-inch glass or metal dish and freeze for 1 hour.
  • Remove from the freezer and scrape with a fork, then freeze for another hour.
  • Repeat twice: freeze for 2 more hours, scraping twice.
  • Transfer the strawberry sorbet to a plastic container and store in the freezer for up to 1 month.
