- Baking Sheet (if using oven method)
- Air fryer (if making in an air fryer)
Ingredients
- 4 purple sweet potatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Olive oil spray
Ranch Flavored Purple Sweet Potato Fries:
- 1 teaspoon Ranch Seasoning in place of salt
Seasoned Purple Potato Fries:
- 1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt in place of salt
Mexican Flavored Purple Potato Fries:
- 1 teaspoon Taco Seasoning in place of salt
Sweet and Salty Purple Sweet Potato Fries:
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
Instructions
Oven Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 450°, and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Peel the purple potatoes, and cut them into quarter inch sticks, adding them to the baking sheets as you go.
- Spray with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt (or seasoning/ or sugar and salt). Then add to the oven.
- Bake for 15 minutes, flip the sweet potato fries and bake for an additional 10 minutes until crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
- Serve hot.
Air Fryer Directions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°.
- Peel the purple potatoes, and cut them into quarter inch sticks, adding them to a large bowl as you work.
- Spray with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt (or seasoning/ or sugar and salt).
- Add to the air fryer basket (in batches as needed) without overcrowding.
- Air fry for 6 minutes, flip and air fry for an additional 6-8 minutes until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
- Serve hot.
