How to Make a Healthy Turkey Burger
The best turkey burger recipe is easy, and flavorful! You can even make the patties ahead of time, place a square of parchment paper between them, and freeze them for later.
How to Make Healthy Turkey Burgers:
- Heat a large pan over medium low heat.
- To a medium bowl, combine the turkey, minced red onion, garlic, parsley, dill, salt and pepper. Mix together until just combined.
- Form into four patties, and make a dimple in the center so that they keep their shape.
- Lightly spray the pan with olive oil, and add the turkey patties to the hot pan.
- Cook for eight minutes, undisturbed. Flip patties and top each with a slice of cheese.
- Cook for an additional eight minutes undisturbed until cooked through with no pink in the center.
- To assemble, place the bottom buns on for plates, top with Romain lettuce leaves, optional sauces, cooked turkey patty, more lettuce, and optional tomatoes, onions and more optional sauce.
