Low Calorie Vodka Cranberry Cocktail

I was able to cut about 100 calories from the original recipe with one low calorie trick. I swapped out the traditional “cranberry juice cocktail” for unsweetened cranberry juice. It’s so strong you won’t need as much!

Then I top the drink off with club soda to make the drink a little fizzy (flat water is ok too) and there you have it. A skinny vodka cranberry that tastes just like one at the bar, and is just as strong.

If you can’t find unsweetened cranberry juice that is ok (though there is a link in the recipe card below) you can get regular cranberry juice and add squeeze a second lime wedge over the drink to add that punch of crisp sourness.

And if you don’t like or can’t have club soda, flat water works. So does your favorite La Crox fruit flavor.

How to Make Low Calorie Cape Cod Cocktails

Because we are adding soda water, we don’t want this drink to bubble over. That is why you end with it.

Just use a straw or long spoon to gently stir the drink so you don’t spill it on the counter.

This Low Calorie Vodka Cranberry Cocktail is just 149 calories thanks to my low calorie cocktail trick.
I didn't cut any of the alcohol from the recipe, but I did swap out the cranberry juice cocktail to unsweetened cranberry juice. The flavors are much stronger and you don't need as much juice, and then I added seltzer water to turn this into a sparkling version.
Special Tip: If you don't like or can't have sparkling water (club soda) you can swap it out for flat water. The drink will still be yummy!!
