How to Make Healthy Soft Pretzels

This recipe makes 12 small pretzels (about the size of your fist) or 6 large pretzels. I recommend making them small, they are very filling and you really can’t beat 105 calories. You can always have a second one if you’re still hungry!

With that said, if you have one small pretzel, you’ll be able to enjoy the snack with some cheese sauce guilt free. Try this Low Calorie Cheese Sauce with the pretzels, or use mustard, or enjoy alone.

How to Make Skinny Soft Pretzels:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. To a large mixing bowl, add the flour, greek yogurt, and salt (and and add-ins you choose). Mix together until you have a thick dough remains.
  3. Wet your hands (so they don’t stick to the dough) and shape into a large dough ball.
  4. Flour a clean countertop or surface, and transfer the dough to the floured surface.
  5. Cut the dough into 12 portions, and use your hands to roll out each of the dough pieces into 5 inch long ropes.
  6. Make a U shape with one dough rope.
  7. Grab the top ends of the U and twist them once.
  8. Fold the twisted ends down so they’re touching the bottom of the U, and gently press them into place.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Add the salt to a small plate, spray each of the pretzels lightly with water on one side, then dip the wet side into the salt.
  11. Serve hot, or cold. These pretzels are great with mustard or cheese sauce.
