I like toss the salad with some of the croutons and cheese, then I add some croutons and cheese to the top. You may choose to add the cheese and croutons to the top after tossing the lettuce in dressing, and that is ok too.

  1. In a medium bowl combine the dressing ingredients. Mix well and set aside while you chop the lettuce and make the croutons.
  2. In a large bowl combine the lettuce, 1/2 of the cheese, 1/2 of the croutons and the dressing.
  3. Toss well to coat the salad with the dressing.
  4. Add to plates, or to a serving bowl. Top with remaining cheese and croutons and serve cold.
