  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 lemon cut into quarters
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 pounds chicken drumsticks

Healthy Chicken Drumsticks Meal Prep and Storage

Meal Prep: You can meal prep 2 ways. You can cook the healthy recipe completely then store for later, or add the chicken and the prepared marinade to a bag, mix and add to the fridge or freezer for later (then follow directions to cook).
Storage: Will hold in the fridge for 5 days and the freezer for a month.
Reheating: Reheat in the microwave for 1-3 minutes, or in a 350 degree oven until warmed through (about 20 minutes)

Ingredients
 
 

  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 lemon cut into quarters
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 pounds chicken drumsticks

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with olive oil.
  • Add the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to a gallon freezer bag. Close and shake to mix together.
  • Add the chicken to the bag, close and shake to cover the chicken in spices. (At this point you can marinate for up to 24 hours if you like)
  • Arrange chicken on the baking sheet, squeeze one lemon wedge over them. Add the remaining lemon wedges and the rosemary to the sheet.
  • Lightly spray the tops of the chicken with olive oil.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a thermometer reads 165 degrees. Remove the lemon wedges and rosemary, and serve immediately.
