We will be “jazzing up” the cream cheese however, so if you don’t like the flavor of fat free cream cheese, don’t worry. We are adding lots of flavor to it!

How to Make Low Calorie Appetizers

These smoked salmon canapés are easy and quick to make. I like to make them ahead of time and place them in the fridge to chill for a couple of hours while I work on other appetizers or the main course.

How to Make No Cook Healthy Appetizers:

  1. In a small bowl, zest the lemon. Set the zest aside.
  2. To a medium bowl combine the cream cheese, fresh dill, garlic salt, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix well.
  3. Lay the cucumber slices out on a serving platter.
  4. Top each with a dollop of cream cheese, then a slice of salmon.
  5. Squeeze more lemon juice over the tops, and sprinkle with lemon zest.
  6. Place in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.

Special Tip: If you want to lower the sodium, you can swap out the garlic salt for garlic powder.
