Ingredients
  

  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 red onion minced
  • 1 red bell pepper minced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound ground turkey beef or chicken
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 burger buns

Instructions
 

  • Get a sauté pan over medium heat, and spray with olive oil.
  • Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic and sauté until soft, about 10 minutes.
  • Add in the ground meat, and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
  • Add in the carrot, tomato paste, tomato sauce, mustard, honey, vinegar, chili powder, and paprika. Mix and simmer until thick, about 10 minutes.
  • Taste, and add salt and pepper as needed.
  • Serve hot, on burger buns.
