- 4 Large Low Calorie Bagels (see recipe card)
- 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
- 3 tablespoons fresh basil (or Italian Seasoning)
- 3 garlic cloves finely
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup fat free mozzarella cheese

Healthy Pizza Bagels Meal Prep and Storage
Meal Prep: You can make frozen pizza bagels!! Make the recipe, cool and add to a parchment paper lines baking sheet. Freeze for 4 hours until solid. Add to a gallon freezer bag, or individual bags/containers and store for later.
Storage: Cooked pizza bagels will holds for 5 days in the fridge and a month in the freezer.
Reheating: Microwave for 2-3 minutes, or bake at 300 degrees for 10-15 minutes until hot.

Low Calorie Pizza Bagels:
- 4 Large Low Calorie Bagels (see above for store-bought tips)
- 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
- 3 tablespoons fresh basil or Italian Seasoning
- 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup fat free mozzarella cheese
Low Calorie Toppings (optional):
- 1 Italian turkey sausage cooked and crumbled
- ¼ cup turkey pepperoni
- 1 bell pepper sliced
- ½ red onion sliced
- ¼ cup sliced black olives
- ½ cup mushrooms
- 1 tomato sliced
- 1 jalapeno sliced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the bagels in half lengthwise, and place them cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place the bagels in the oven for 5 minutes, or until they are lightly toasted on top.
- Meanwhile add the tomato sauce, paste, basil, garlic, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix well to combine.
- Spread each bagel evenly with tomato sauce. Top with shredded cheese, and any optional toppings.
- Return the pizza bagels to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.
