Ingredients

Lemon Cucumber Water Detox:

  • 1 lemon washed and sliced
  • ½ cucumber washed and sliced
  • 2 liters water

Additional Add-Ins:

  • 1 lime washed and sliced
  • 1 inch ginger peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves washed
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves washed

Instructions

  • To a carafe or pitcher, add all the fruit, vegetables and herbs.
  • Use a muddler (or potato masher) to gently mash the ingredients to release their flavors.
  • Add the water, mix together, and let marinate for 2 hours in the fridge before serving.

Special Tips on Making Fruit Infused Water Recipes:

  • Use a Fruit Infused Water Pitcher to make these drinks! The canister in the center of the pitcher will hold the ingredients submerged. This will intensify the flavor!
  • If you don't have a fruit infused pitcher, add 3 cups of ice to the top of the water. Do not mix, but instead add to the fridge. As the ice slowly melts it will keep the ingredients submerged longer. This will intensify the flavor!

I do trust all of the ideas you have offered to your post.
They’re really convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are
too brief for beginners. Could you please prolong them a bit
from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.

  4. This is delicious! Keeps me from craving the sweet tea (cut out sugar!) and unnecessary snacking. I added frozen raspberries on day two, and it is great! Day 3 of the same fruit and flavor is still going strong! I was wondering though, any suggestions for what to do with the fruits when changing pitchers/flavors? Maybe blender with ice for a smoothie?

  5. Love this website. Do you think you could use bottled lemon juice instead of fresh lemon? It’s all I have on hand right now.

  6. I found you through pinterest and started checking out other drink recipes, i’ve tried this one and it tastes great, I usually hate flavored water but I love this one it tastes really fresh, I’ll keep checking for more posts, keep on the good work 🙂

  7. Has anyone else had detox symptoms after drinking this? I drank it for a day and a half and then felt like I had the flu. Two days later, I had more energy than I have had in a loooong time. Flushed me out I guess.

  8. Oh i eat, i actually have to eat more because with hypothyroidism, if i drastically change my diet it stresses my body, if i change my diet more than 100 calories a week it panics and holds on to everything!, but simply just adding these waters to my diet has taken me down 25 lbs, i actually do not have facebook, but you are more than welcome to share my story with all of your friends and followers if you would like!

I always give people the same 4 goals to work on:

    1. Drink a gallon of water a day.
    2. Remove all processed foods and fake sugars from your diet.
    3. Move your body more.
    4. Count your calories. Take your goal weight and add a zero to the end, that is how many calories you should have each day.

Hope to see you on facebook!

  11. Add Mint leaves to this drink!
if you go out and buy some fresh mint
take 2-3 leaves and put them in a small bowl with 1/2tsp water,
mash them up with a spoon (yes there will be some chunks left)
and then pour it in your pitcher a long with 4-5 whole leaves
it gives the water an awesome crisp fresh taste and its also
a quick fix for a tummy ache!
    just a suggestion!
Thank you for posting these wonderful drinks
    im 17 weigh 270 lbs
    i have pcos and hypothyroidism

I came home yesterday and found that my mom added some pineapple to it. I freaked out a bit, cause I don’t like to change it but it was really good. 😀

  22. Have you tried “sassy water?” It’s similar except you add mint leaves and some grated ginger. It’s quite delicious and refreshing.
