Low Calorie Portobello Mushroom Burgers
Ingredients
- 2 large portobello mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon Homemade Seasoning Salt
- Olive oil spray
- ½ red onion
- ½ avocado

How to Make Portobello Burgers on the Grill:
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Remove the stems from the portobello mushrooms, and clean the caps with a damp cloth or paper towel.
- Slice the onion into 2 rings.
- Spray the mushrooms and onions with olive oil. And sprinkle all over with seasoning salt.
- Add the mushrooms to the hot grill, gill side up (cut side up). And add the onions alongside them.
- Cook 7 minutes, flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the onions are soft.
- Meanwhile, add the avocado and lime juice to a medium bowl. Smash with the back of a fork until spreadable.
- Add 1/2 of the smashed avocado to the bottom of each bun. Top each with the cooked portobellos, then the tomato, grilled onions, and spinach.
