You will need a whole pineapple to make this drink. If you are a regular here at Lose Weight By Eating, you know I like to keep it simple with frozen and cubbed fruit. But it just won’t work here.
The reason you need a whole pineapple is because you need to make the pineapple skin water, which requires, well… the pineapple skin.

How to Make Pineapple Weight Loss Drinks
I like to make the pineapple skin water ahead of time. I make it as soon as I get home from the store so it’s well chilled for me in the morning.
And while I’m boiling the pineapple rinds, I cube the pineapple and freeze it. You don’t have to freeze it, but I like how the frozen fruit chills the drink a bit.


How to Make Pineapple Weight Loss Drink:
- To make the pineapple rind water, first wash your pineapple very well and then slice off the rind. Add the pineapple rind and the water to a large pot and boil for 20 minutes. Then strain through a fine mesh strainer and chill in the fridge.
- To make the pineapple detox drink combine the pineapple, cucumber, ginger, lemon juice, honey, cinnamon and pineapple rind water to a blender.
- Pulse to get things moving, then blend until smooth.
- Pour into a large glass and serve.

- 1 cup pineapple
- 1 cup cucumber peeled and cubed
- ½ inch piece ginger peeled and sliced
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 ½ cup pineapple rind water below
Pineapple Rind Water:
- Pineapple rind/skin from whole pineapple
- 1 liter water
