  • 2 – 3 pounds Tri-Tip Steak or Flank Steak
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or Tamari)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Olive oil spray

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 – 3 pounds Tri-Tip Steak or Flank Steak
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or Tamari
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions
 

  • Combine the lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.
  • Add the steak to a gallon freezer bag and pour the marinade over steak. Marinate, in the refrigerator for 1-4 hours.
  • Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and spray with olive oil.
  • Add the tri-tip steak to the hot grill and sear each side for 5 – 10 minutes per side.
  • Lower the grill heat to medium-low heat and continue to grill for 8-10 minutes each side.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure you cook your steak to the doneness you desire. The thermometer will read 120° for rare, 130° for medium-rare, and 140° for medium.
  • Remove steak from grill and rest for 10 -15 minutes before slicing. Slice across the grain for the most tender meat.
