- 1 (16-oz) can refried beans
- 8 tostadas
- 1 roma tomato
- ¼ white onion
- 2 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 3 tablespoons crumbled Cotija cheese

Special Tip: You can swap out the cheese for cheddar our skip it all together. This cheese is super salty and strong, so you don't need very much to get all the cheesy flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef (or turkey, chicken, bison, beyond meat)
- 1 ½ tablespoons Homemade Taco Seasoning (or store-bought)
- 1 (16-oz) can refried beans
- 8 tostadas
- 1 roma tomato diced
- ¼ white onion diced
- 2 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 3 tablespoons crumbled Cotija cheese
Instructions
- Add the ground beef to a skillet and brown over medium heat.
- Drain off any oil, add in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water and cook until absorbed.
- Meanwhile, add the beans to a pot and heat over low heat.
- To each toasted add beans, then meat.
- Top with tomato, onion, cilantro and cheese.
- Serve hot.
