You can whip this healthy grilled salad in just 10 minutes, and it comes with a fat burning dressing, that’s also Rachael Ray approved! I included a video of Rachael Ray and I making this healthy salad dressing on her show.

You can use turkey bacon or even vegan bacon if you prefer. But I based the nutrition off of regular bacon, so it’s the highest the calories it will go.

How to Make Healthy Grilled Romaine Salads

You can make this healthy grilled romaine salad on the stovetop as well as the grill.

Just use a grill pan and follow the directions. This means you can make the healthy hot salad anytime of the year!

Low Calorie Grilled Romaine Salad

How to Make a Healthy Grilled Salad:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the romaine hearts in half lengthwise and trim the stem end just a little, so that the lettuce still holds together.
  3. Spray the romaine lightly all over with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the romaine slices cut side down on the preheated grill and cook undisturbed for 3 minutes.
  5. Flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.
  6. Meanwhile, add the blue cheese dip and water to a bowl. Mix together to make the dressing thin enough to drizzle, adding more water 1/2 tablespoon at a time until you have reached your desired consistency.
  7. Remove from the grill, drizzle over the blue cheese dressing. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon, tomatoes and parmesan over the tops and serve hot.
