Meal Prep: You can make the full recipe ahead of time, or just the caramel sauce. Either way will work great to meal prep this dessert.
Storage: Will hold for 4-5 days in the fridge.
Reheating: This is great hot or cold. To reheat, add to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. You can also reheat on the stovetop in a medium pan, over low heat.

These Low Calorie Baked Caramel Apples are just 109 calories per serving, making them the perfect snack or dessert. These healthy baked apples are great alone, or over pancakes, ice cream, and oatmeal. Special Tip: I used a 2 minute homemade caramel sauce, but I also found you one to buy online should you prefer.

- 9×9 baking dish
Ingredients
- 6 apples I used honey crisp
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
- 2 teaspoons all-natural sugar substitute or regular sugar
- 1 batch (1/2 cup) Low Calorie Protein Caramel or purchase this one
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Core the apples, and slice. Add to a 9×9 baking dish as you work.
- Add the lemon juice, cinnamon and the sugar to the apples and toss together.
- Cover the baking dish with foil, and place in the oven and bake 40 minutes.
- Uncover and mix, then bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove the apples from the oven and cool for 10 minutes.
- Add in the caramel sauce, and mix together.
- Serve warm.
