How to Make Blood Orange Juice
You can use several different juicers to make this homemade juice recipe. All of the fun ways to juice a blood orange are below, and further down, a printable recipe card with the directions and ingredients.

How to Juice Blood Oranges 5 Ways:
Electric Juicer Directions:
- Cut the blood oranges into quarters.
- Add to the electric juicer and juice into a glass.
- If you want to remove excess pulp, strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer.
Blender Directions:
- Peel and quarter the blood oranges (discarding the peel).
- Add the blood orange and water (1/4 cup per orange) to a blender.
- Blend until mostly smooth, then strain the fruit and juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove the thick pulp.
Electric Squeezer Directions:
- Halve the blood oranges, and place the cut blood orange halves (one at a time) over the electric squeezer, pressing down to extract the juice.
- Continue with all the halves of your blood oranges.
- If you want to remove excess pulp, strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer.
Manual Hand Squeezer Directions:
- Halve the blood oranges.
- One halve at a time, push down and twist (at the same time) over a manual hand squeezer.
- Continue with all the halves of your blood oranges.
- If you want to remove excess pulp, strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer.
Manual Citrus Press Directions:
- Halve the blood oranges.
- Add one halve at a time to the manual citrus press, and pull the lever down to press out the juice. Discard the halve and continue with the remaining halves.
- If you want to remove excess pulp, strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer.
