This Low Calorie Gravy can be made for your holiday turkey, or for roasted chicken! You can have 1/4 cup of this healthy gravy for just 24 calories. Plus it’s easy, packed with flavor, and tastes just as amazing as the full fat versions.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Drippings from turkey or chicken (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter (or fat from degreasing cup)
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 4 cups chicken or turkey broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper

Healthy Gravy Meal Prep and Storage
Meal Prep: You can make this gravy ahead or time and store for later. Then cool and add to individual meal prep containers, or family sized containers.
Storage: Store in the fridge for 5 days or the freezer for a month.
Reheating: Reheat in the microwave for 2-3 minutes or on the stovetop in a medium-large pot on medium-low heat.

Low Calorie Gravy (Turkey or Chicken)
Ingredients
- Drippings from turkey or chicken optional
- 1 tablespoon butter or fat from degreasing cup
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 4 cups chicken or turkey broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Pour the drippings from the chicken or turkey pan into a degreasing cup and set aside. (This step is optional)
- Add butter (or fat from degreasing cup) to a large sauce pot and melt over medium heat. Add in the flour and whisk to create a roux. Mix until it browns.
- Add in the broth, and 1/4 to 1/2 cup drippings (optional) and cook until thick, about 10 minutes.
- Add in the Worcestershire sauce and pepper and mix well.
- Serve hot over chicken, turkey, mashed potatoes, etc.
