  • Drippings from turkey or chicken (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or fat from degreasing cup)
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper

Meal Prep: You can make this gravy ahead or time and store for later. Then cool and add to individual meal prep containers, or family sized containers.

Ingredients
 
 

  • Drippings from turkey or chicken optional
  • 1 tablespoon butter or fat from degreasing cup
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • Pour the drippings from the chicken or turkey pan into a degreasing cup and set aside. (This step is optional)
  • Add butter (or fat from degreasing cup) to a large sauce pot and melt over medium heat. Add in the flour and whisk to create a roux. Mix until it browns.
  • Add in the broth, and 1/4 to 1/2 cup drippings (optional) and cook until thick, about 10 minutes.
  • Add in the Worcestershire sauce and pepper and mix well.
  • Serve hot over chicken, turkey, mashed potatoes, etc.
