Equipment
- Rolling Pin
- Pizza cutter or knife
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup self rising flour
- ⅔ cup 0% Greek yogurt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- 2 tablespoons parsley minced
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Low Calorie Marinara, Pesto, and Alfredo Sauce (optional-for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, add the flour, yogurt, and garlic salt and mix until combined.
- Form into a ball of dough.
- Lay a piece of parchment paper out on the countertop.
- Place the dough in the center of the parchment paper. Top the dough with a little flour and a second piece of parchment paper.
- Use a rolling pin to roll it out to a large rectangle, 1/4 inch thick.
- Remove the top layer of parchment paper and use a pizza cutter or knife to cut into 19 pieces. 1 long cut and 8 short cuts.
- Take the strips of dough one at a time into your hands and tie it in a knot, then place on the prepared baking sheet. Do this until you have ties 19 knots.
- Add the melted butter, minced garlic cloves, parsley and salt to a small bowl. Use a basting brush to brush the top of each dough knot with garlic butter sauce (alternatively you can turn over and dip the top of each knot into the butter mixture.)
- Add to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
