Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce (or gluten free Tamari)
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ½ tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Healthy Teriyaki Sauce Meal Prep and Storage

Meal Prep: You can make this healthy recipe ahead of time and chill in the fridge for later. Combine all the ingredients in a storage container, mix well and cover. Then place in the fridge for later.

Ingredients
 
 

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce (or gluten free Tamari)
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ½ tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger grated or minced
  • 2 cloves of garlic grated or minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • To a medium bowl combine all of the low calorie teriyaki sauce ingredients.
  • Mix well and set aside to marinade for 10 minutes.
  • Add to chicken, beef, Salmond, or veggies before baking or grilling.
