Lush Cup-o-Coffee Face Mask and Scrub
This moisturizing and exfoliating Lush cup o coffee homemade coffee face mask and scrub is easy to make, and fun to use!The coffee face scrub and mask has long been one of my favorite Lush products, and I find using it in the shower is best. Apply as a face mask (be care of the eyes, you don't want to get this in your eyes- ouch!) and let sit while you complete your shower. Then scrub as a face mask when removing it… I even use this homemade mace scrub as a lip scrub!!
Ingredients
- 1 cup coffee grounds fresh… not leftover after coffee
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil melted
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add the coffee grounds and cocoa powder to a medium bowl. Mix together.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the coconut oil, honey and vanilla, then mix well.
- Add the honey mixture to the coffee mixture and mix together until well combined. Adding 1/2 teaspoon of water at a time to reach desired consistency.
- Use as a Face Mask AND Scrub- Apply to the face (and neck if you like) – avoiding the eyes– and let sit on the skin for up to 15 minutes, then scrub in a gentle circular motion as rinsing off.
- Use as a Face Scrub- You can also just use this as a face scrub… apply a tablespoon to the face –avoiding the eyes– and gently scrub in a circular motion before rinsing off.
