This easy DIY sugar scrub for body can be made into any scent you like. But you can make this unscented and un colored with just 2 ingredients! You get to choose, this easy homemade sugar scrub can be made to your own specifications.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 10-15 drops of lavender essential oil or your favorite scent
- 5 drops purple food coloring optional
Instructions
- To a large bowl combine the sugar and coconut oil mix together until the sugar is incorporated into the coconut oil.
- Add the essential oil and (if desired) food coloring, and mix well.
- Move to a jar and store in a cool dry place.
Lavender Lemon:
- Add 8 drops lavender essential oil and 5 drops of lemon essential oil.
Orange Lemon:
- Add 10 drops orange essential oil and 5 drops of lemon essential oil.
Rosemary Peppermint:
- Add 5 drops rosemary essential oil and 5 drops of peppermint essential oil.
Lemon Tea Tree:
- Add 8 drops tea tree essential oil and 5 drops of lemon essential oil.
Sweet Marjoram Orange:
- Add 5 drops sweet marjoram essential oil and 5 drops of orange essential oil.

The coconut oil has likely hardened. Place it in a warm spot in our house… like your shower.
You can also add the container you are storing it in, to a bowl of hot water (make sure the sugar scrub is closed) for a few minutes. That will warm up the coconut oil and bring it back to its liquid state.
