This easy Aloe Vera Juice is great in all your favorite smoothies and juices, and alone too!
I have supplied some yummy recipes to add the aloe juice to, plus tips on how to cut an aloe leaf (with photos) and benefits to aloe vera juice.

I will mention this a few times… It is very important that you do not ingest the green part of the leaf. Yes it’s in the photos, but take them out an it looks like nothing more than a glass of water. I may change out the photos at some time, but they are so pretty and quickly explain (without words) what the recipe is. So for now I will keep reminding you, do not eat the green part!

Ingredients In Aloe Vera Juice
You only need 2 ingredients (1 if you don’t count water) to make this aloe recipe. But I have also supplied lots of smoothies and juices to add this aloe water to as well.
Benefits of Aloe Vera Juice:
Aloe Vera Juice Ingredients:
- Aloe Leaf – fresh aloe is a wonderful anti-inflammatory! It also boost digestion, can prevent cancer, boosts immunity and reduce bloat and detox the body.
- Water – naturally boosts metabolism and thins out the thick aloe.

You can often find aloe leaves at health food stores, or a store that sell a lot of international ingredients. If you purchase already cut and scooped aloe vera, you’ll want 2-3 tablespoons of food grade aloe gel to make this recipe.
How to Make Aloe Vera Juice
Making aloe juice is easy and fun. If you’ve never sliced into an aloe plant I have some photos below to help you feel more comfortable cutting into the leaf for the first time.
I like slice the leaf into 3 inch chunks, and then work with those. Otherwise the slippery aloe gel can get a bit messy and difficult to work with.

You want to start by washing the plant well, and trimming off the ends. Then slice off one of the sides of the leaf. And if you end up cutting into the clear part, that’s ok!
Then scoop out all of the aloe gel with a knife or a spoon. Again, if you sliced into the gel, just scoop from both sides of the leaf!

How to Make Aloe Juice:
- Wash the aloe leaf, and slice off the bottom and top.
- Slice off one side of the green leaf.
- Scrape out the clear gelatin substance that is inside the leaf, and move to a blender.
- Discard the green leaves, they are not safe to eat (I know I have them in the photo, but that is not how you want to drink it)
- Add the water to the blender and blend until smooth.
- Drink the aloe water alone, or add into your favorite smoothies or juices (see above for great ideas!)
