Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates with Honey and Lavender

I love dates. No, not the kind of date my husband and I go on every now and then, I’m talking about the sweet edible fruit of the date palm.

They are just like candy.

Somewhere between a fruit and caramel and packed full of fiber, calcium, potassium and antioxidants.

I especially love stuffed dates with goat cheese, they make such as sweet and savory snack or appetizer that I could eat all day long!

A popular date appetizer recipe has been stuffing them with goat cheese and wrapping in bacon, which is amazing but way too high in calories to have whenever you want which is why I created this delicious Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates with Honey and Lavender.

These tasty little appetizers are sweet, salty, creamy and fragrant. They’re also good for your health, too!

Try these out for a date night (pun intended), office pot luck, or for a cocktail party. They are so fancy I promise everyone will be impressed!

Makes 20 servings.


  • 10 Dates Halves and Pitted- so 10 halves
  • 4 tbsp Goat Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Honey, try to find some good local honey at your farmer’s market
  • 2 tsp Culinary Lavender
  • Sea Salt- optional

Goast Cheese Stuffed Dates

Place halved and pitted dates on a plate, fill with a small amount of goat cheese. Drizzle with honey, sprinkle on lavender and sea salt if you want them a little more savory and serve.
